Apart from the Portuguese, Sergio Ramos and Carvajal defenses, midfielders Di María , Modrić and Xabi Alonso are the other "merengues" selected by the UEFA Technical Study Group (TSG) which selected 18 players, the same number who coaches from the "Champions" teams select for each game of the competition, without revealing the initial 11player squad.

With so many players selected as Atletico Madrid comes Bayern Munich with goalkeeper Manuel Neuer, Philipp Lahm's defense, midflielder Toni Kroos and Arjen Robben's striker.
FC Barcelona, Borussia Dortmund and Paris Saint - Germain are represented with one player each, with midfielder Iniesta and strikers Marco Reus and Zlatan Ibrahimovic, respectively.

Champions League: Borussia Dortmund 2-0 Real Madrid Press Conference
Ancelotti: "I am happy to reach the semifinals, it was an important goal, but not the way we have done it. We have given a lot, especially in the first half. In the second we have not lost our concentration, we have defended better and we had chances to score. Football is like this, we have given and then we have suffered.
The key has been the penalty that was very encouraged to Borussia and, in that moment, the team became a little scary. We did not play since that moment on and we only defended. We needed to have the control of the game and the possession in the first half and we did not have it.
At the resting time was not necessary a strong talk. The team was sad, with little confidence and needed to be cheered up and the tatics have changed a bit, putting Bale on the right and Isco on the left. Things improved in the second half.
It was managed that Di Maria would do the penalty kick, because when Cristiano did not played with Olimpic Xativa, Di Maria did the penalty kick. I do not know if I will change and Di Maria will be the third or fourth released.
At this point in the competition every game is exciting and very difficult. They have tried everything to defeat us, we have helped them to dream of the semifinals but hopefully we've moved forward and that is good.

Casillas has made fantastic saves at an important moment of the game and he has had an important role for the pass through to the semi-finals.
Cristiano was fine, we did not plan to take any risks with him, by the intensity of the game, and we have avoided it. We hope he recover soon and be ready for the semifinal. There isn't a big problem because if it would, he wouldn't be on the bench. He has time to recover to be able to play on Saturday.
I know Chelsea won and did a fantastic result. I'm surprised because it was not easy to win PSG. I congratulate Chelsea, but for us it was important to reach semifinals opponent and we'll see what team will lie ahead for draw.
